GALLERY - Carole Bellamy, 'Exhibition of Pastel Paintings'

Carole Bellamy
Exhibition of Pastel Paintings
23rd July to 13th August 2009
Preview 12 Noon - 4pm Saturday 25 July

Somerset artist Carole Bellamy is holding an exhibition of pastel paintings
at the Frameus Gallery in Wells, 23 July – 13 August 2009.

Carole is a prolific painter in all media, whose work can be found in many exhibitions around her home and further afield. Her pictures ‘Irene’ and ‘View From Ham Hill’ will be displayed in the exhibition, alongside comments made in the published critiques by Tony Paul of Leisure Painter magazine.

Carole is an enthusiastic member of the village artists’ group, where she values the interplay of styles brought and shared by its members.

While largely self-taught, Carole has gained much from the workshops of noted artist Richard Turner and others,
Turner especially who opened her eyes to the beauty and versatility of pastel painting.
Carole’s renewed enthusiasm for painting and drawing has peaked during retirement where she has
been able to devote the time necessary to all things arty.

She has sold paintings in all media at local art exhibitions, and undertaken
private commissions for portraits and pet portraits in recent years.

The preview will be held 12 noon – 4pm Saturday 25 July where Carole will be on hand to meet and chat to visitors.
